Warranty (3 Year / 30,000 Miles Parts Only Warranty)

Summary

50 States LLC d/b/a Used Cars Engines provides a 3-Year / 30,000 Miles Parts Only Warranty (whichever comes first) on eligible used engines when installed by an ASE-certified facility and activated within 10 calendar days of delivery by emailing support@usedcarsengines.com with order ID and a clear odometer photo. This warranty covers the part itself against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Labor, towing, diagnostics, fluids, and incidental costs are not covered unless explicitly stated in writing.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Professional Installation: The part must be installed by an ASE-certified or equivalently licensed professional shop.
2. Installation Timeline: Installation must be completed within 10 calendar days of delivery.
3. Registration: Complete warranty registration within 10 calendar days of delivery either (a) online at usedcarsengines.com/warranty (order, VIN, and a clear, live odometer photo) or (b) by emailing support@usedcarsengines.com your order ID and a clear photo of the vehicle’s odometer. Registrations submitted after 10 days are not accepted and the warranty will not be activated.
4. Pre-Install Prep: Replace fluids, filters, gaskets, seals, and any wear items recommended by the manufacturer (e.g., timing belt/chain service where applicable, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, belts, hoses). Flush the cooling system and oil system, and clear all fault codes.
5. Break-In & Maintenance: Follow manufacturer’s break-in procedures; use manufacturer-specified fluids; maintain regular oil changes and coolant checks. Keep receipts.

What’s Covered

• Internal lubricated components of the purchased engine and the main housing if damaged by an internal lubricated component failure.
• One replacement unit or, at our discretion, a refund of the part price if a replacement is unavailable.

What’s Not Covered (Common Exclusions)

• Labor/installation, diagnostics, towing, rental, freight (inbound/outbound) and downtime costs.
• Failures caused by overheating, lack of lubrication, improper installation, abuse, racing/high-performance use, or continued operation after the onset of symptoms.
• External/accessory components attached to the engine (e.g., turbos/superchargers, sensors, wiring, coils, injectors, pumps, manifolds, mounts, brackets, belts, hoses).
• Damage from detonation, pre-ignition, coolant/oil contamination, or incompatible/dirty fluids.
• Modifications not per OEM spec, tuning, or non-OEM calibrations.
• Seals & gaskets are warrantied against material defects only at the time of delivery (no coverage for seeping from age).
• Commercial/fleet, off-road, or competition use unless expressly approved in writing.

How to Make a Claim

1. Stop using the vehicle and contact us at support@usedcarsengines.com with order, VIN, mileage, and a description of the issue.
2. We may require: professional diagnosis, OBD-II freeze-frame data, compression/leak-down or hydrocarbon tests, photos/video, installation and maintenance receipts, and a report on cooling/oiling system condition.
3. Upon approval, we will provide an RMA and instructions. Unauthorized returns are refused.
4. If a defect is confirmed, we will supply a replacement unit or refund the part price at our discretion.

Limitations

This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy and is non-transferable. We disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the original part purchase price. Rights vary by state.
